Media Converter
Media converter is a cost effective Ethernet to Fiber device that transparently interface and convert disparate transmission media, making the necessary signal conversions at the physical layer. It is commonly used for Ethernet networks where each type of Ethernet has different specifications for media, it can be used to extend Ethernet network connection over a fiber backbone. The Media converter offers wavelength division multiplexing, enabling bi-directional communication using existing infrastructure without having to install new cabling.
Media converter supports both singlemode 9/125 and multimode 50/125 or 62,5/125 fiber optic cable up to distance 80KM providing a simple solution for connecting 10BASE, 100BASE up to 1000BASE Ethernet networks to remote locations using SC terminated singlemode or multimode fiber, while delivering ideal network performance and scalability easy to setup and install in a matter of seconds. Designed to offer convenient Ethernet to fiber solution with durable chassis and can be wall mounted for out-of-the-way installations.
