With new SLL (Super Low Loss) MTP/MPO connectivity products from Sylex there is not anymore any problem with power budget for GigaBit applications. Guaranteed value of IL less than 0.1dB on each fiber per connector is offering a new platform in datacenter infrastructure design, allowing to increase the amount of connector connections and thus widen cross-connection possibilities.
