Expanded beam - Harsh Environment patchcords and adapters

Expanded beam - Harsh Environment patchcords and adapters (EBOSA)

The EMM™ Connector features EBOSA™ (Expanded Beam Optical Sub Assembly) superior expanded beam performance and ease of use. Given the use of totally standard parts in termination such as a fiber optic LC ferrule and spring, it genuinely allows this rugged connector to be repaired in the field. The innovation of the EBOSA™ lies in the mechanical build-up and the method of construction. During the production process each contact is moved in six axis – 3 for each axis, 2 angles and rotation. The components are laser welded when minimal attenuation is achieved, thereby each EBOSA™ is locked thermally and mechanically.
