Temperature measurements
Fiber optic temperature sensors are mostly used to measure temperature in different environments, but some sensors can be used like a temperature compensation for other types of sensors like: strain, displacement, vibration and similar. Our solutions offers different configuration of temperature sensors: single or series configuration and for some sensors also connection in chain for monitoring temperature gradient.
The fibre optic temperature chain TC-01 makes use of the intrinsic temperature sensitivity of the Fibre Bragg Grating. The chain consists of a fibre containing several FBGs inserted into a stainless steel capillary. The cable is terminated with a pigtail with FC/APC connector. Capillary length, number of sensing points and their spatial distribution can be specified as required.
The fibre optic Temperature Chain TC-02 is a flexible and ruggedized cable containing several temperature sensors in series. Each temperature sensor is contained in a separate stainless steel housing. All sensors are in the same optical line and the Chain has a connector at both ends in order to make series configurations possible.
The fiber optic Temperature Chain TC-03 is a compact, fiber sized cable containing several temperature sensors in series. Each temperature sensor is contained in a glass capillary tube of small size. All sensors are in the same optical line and the Chain has a connector at one or both ends in order to make series configurations possible.
The Temperature Compensation Probe TC-probe is used to compensate strain measurements for thermal influences. The sensor is compact in order to measure the temperature very locally and in close vicinity of the strain sensor(s). The sensor has a stainless steel housing and has a connector on one end.
The fibre optic Temperature Probe TP-01 is a high accuracy temperature sensor applicable for a wide temperature range. It is a point-like sensor housed in a stainless steel tube and with a connector at one end.
The fibre optic Temperature Probe TP-02 is a ruggedized temperature sensor which can be used either in a single ended as well as in a series configuration. The sensor is housed in a stainless steel tube with a connector at one or at both ends.
