V predch\u00e1dzaj\u00facej verzii normy TIA (TIA-568-C3) boli op\u00edsan\u00e9 tri z\u00e1kladn\u00e9 met\u00f3dy pripojenia A, B a C, ktor\u00e9 v\u0161etky spolo\u010dnosti \u010dasom prijali a implementovali do svojich projektov. Situ\u00e1cia sa skomplikovala, ke\u010f spolo\u010dnosti navrhli d\u00e1tov\u00e9 centr\u00e1 pre 40G a 100G a navrhli chrbticov\u00e9 siete s konektormi MPO s 24 vl\u00e1knami.<\/p>\n<p><b>Defin\u00edcie a pojmy TIA<\/b><\/p>\n<p>TIA-568-C3 opisuje typy komponentov a sp\u00f4soby pripojenia len pre konektory MPO s 12 vl\u00e1knami, nie pre konektory MPO s 24 vl\u00e1knami. Preto si spolo\u010dnosti vymysleli vlastn\u00e9 typy zv\u00e4zkov a \u0161tandardy met\u00f3d pripojenia, ktor\u00e9 nie s\u00fa navz\u00e1jom kompatibiln\u00e9. V okt\u00f3bri 2016 vydala Asoci\u00e1cia telekomunika\u010dn\u00e9ho priemyslu (TIA) nov\u00fa aktualiz\u00e1ciu normy TIA 568.3-D, ktor\u00e1 okrem in\u00e9ho definuje pravidl\u00e1 pre konektory MPO s 24 vl\u00e1knami.<\/p>\n<p>Norma TIA 568.3-D \u0161pecifikuje tieto komponenty: Typ adapt\u00e9ra po\u013ea, typ k\u00e1bla po\u013ea a typ prepojovacieho k\u00e1bla po\u013ea. S\u00fa \u0161pecifikovan\u00e9 dva typy adapt\u00e9rov: Typ A (KEY UP\/KEY DOWN) a typ B (KEY UP\/KEY UP), ktor\u00e9 ur\u010duj\u00fa pripojenie vl\u00e1kien v r\u00e1mci dvoch sp\u00e1rovan\u00fdch konektorov MPO. Na obr\u00e1zku 1 s\u00fa zn\u00e1zornen\u00e9 pripojenia vl\u00e1kien na sp\u00e1rovan\u00fdch 12-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdch a 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdch konektoroch MPO.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1183 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Image-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"806\" height=\"462\"><\/p>\n<p>K\u00e1blov\u00e9 zv\u00e4zky typu array a zv\u00e4zky typu array patch cord s\u00fa na oboch koncoch ukon\u010den\u00e9 konektormi MPO. Rozdiel je len v pou\u017eit\u00ed v r\u00e1mci optick\u00e9ho kan\u00e1la. Sie\u0165ov\u00fd k\u00e1bel sa pou\u017e\u00edva ako chrbticov\u00fd k\u00e1bel &#8211; sl\u00fa\u017ei na prepojenie medzi stojanmi, patch panelmi a modulmi MPO-LC. Na za\u010datie alebo ukon\u010denie optick\u00e9ho prepojenia z vysiela\u010da a do vysiela\u010da sa pou\u017e\u00edva typ prepojovacieho k\u00e1bla. Ich kombin\u00e1cia sa pou\u017e\u00edva na pripojenie r\u00f4znych typov vysiela\u010dov, pri\u010dom ka\u017ed\u00fd z nich m\u00e1 \u0161pecifick\u00fd dizajn a polohu Tx a Rx kan\u00e1lov. Pre spr\u00e1vnu funk\u010dnos\u0165 sa musia pou\u017e\u00edva\u0165 ur\u010den\u00e9 typy k\u00e1blov a prepojovac\u00edch k\u00e1blov, ako je definovan\u00e9 v norme TIA 568.3-D a uveden\u00e9 na obr\u00e1zku 2.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1185 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Image-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"802\" height=\"331\"><\/p>\n<p>V prv\u00fdch troch riadkoch s\u00fa uveden\u00e9 ozna\u010denia k\u00e1blov po\u013ea a prepojovac\u00edch k\u00e1blov s 12-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdmi konektormi MPO a \u010fal\u0161ie tri riadky s\u00fa venovan\u00e9 k\u00e1blom po\u013ea a prepojovac\u00edm k\u00e1blom na jednom konci s 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdmi konektormi MPO a na druhom konci s dvoma 12-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdmi konektormi MPO. Posledn\u00e9 tri riadky opisuj\u00fa ozna\u010denia, pri ktor\u00fdch sa na oboch koncoch k\u00e1blov po\u013ea alebo prepojovac\u00edch k\u00e1blov pou\u017e\u00edvaj\u00fa konektory MPO s 24 vl\u00e1knami. Zatia\u013e \u010do v pr\u00edpade syst\u00e9mov zalo\u017een\u00fdch na 12F (pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00fdch pre aplik\u00e1cie 10G) existuje jasn\u00e9 prepojenie medzi zn\u00e1mymi sp\u00f4sobmi pripojenia A, B, C a nov\u00fdmi ozna\u010deniami Typ-A: 1-1, Typ-B: 1-1 a Typ-C: 1-1, pri pou\u017eit\u00ed 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdch konektorov MPO sa to za\u010d\u00edna komplikova\u0165. V tejto bielej knihe sa \u010falej zameriame na polia a prepojovacie k\u00e1ble s 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdmi konektormi MPO na oboch koncoch.<\/p>\n<p><b>Neporiadok v n\u00e1zvoslov\u00ed&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Konektory MPO s 24 vl\u00e1knami s\u00fa zn\u00e1me a pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00e9 u\u017e mnoho rokov, ale ako u\u017e bolo spomenut\u00e9, kv\u00f4li ch\u00fdbaj\u00facej norme popisuj\u00facej typy k\u00e1blov a sp\u00f4soby pripojenia si spolo\u010dnosti vymysleli vlastn\u00e9 normy. Pou\u017e\u00edvali r\u00f4zne n\u00e1zvy, napr\u00edklad priamy, kr\u00ed\u017eov\u00fd, vertik\u00e1lne kr\u00ed\u017een\u00fd a horizont\u00e1lne priamy, alebo jednoducho pou\u017e\u00edvali ozna\u010denia ako typ A, B, C, Z, Y, X at\u010f&#8230; \u017diadny z t\u00fdchto n\u00e1zvov alebo ozna\u010den\u00ed nebol pre z\u00e1kazn\u00edkov dostato\u010dne zrozumite\u013en\u00fd a vzniklo ve\u013ea nejasnost\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Pred vydan\u00edm normy TIA 568.3-D spolo\u010dnos\u0165 Sylex pou\u017eila logiku pripojenia z 12-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdch konektorov MPO a aplikovala ju na 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00e9 konektory MPO. Ako pr\u00edklad si zoberme prepojovac\u00ed k\u00e1bel typu A 12F: vl\u00e1kno z poz\u00edcie ONE na bl\u00edzkom konci je pripojen\u00e9 do poz\u00edcie ONE na vzdialenom konci. Spolo\u010dnos\u0165 Sylex pou\u017eila t\u00fato logiku aj na 24-vl\u00e1kna MPO, tak\u017ee vl\u00e1kno z poz\u00edcie ONE na bl\u00edzkom konci (horn\u00fd riadok) bolo pripojen\u00e9 k poz\u00edcii ONE na vzdialenom konci (horn\u00fd riadok); v\u0161etky ostatn\u00e9 vl\u00e1kna boli pripojen\u00e9 rovnak\u00fdm sp\u00f4sobom &#8211; a\u017e po vl\u00e1kno z poz\u00edcie 24 na bl\u00edzkom konci (spodn\u00fd riadok), ktor\u00e9 bolo pripojen\u00e9 k poz\u00edcii 24 na vzdialenom konci (spodn\u00fd riadok). Spolo\u010dnos\u0165 Sylex toto spojenie pomenovala&nbsp;<b>Typ A<\/b>&nbsp;pre sie\u0165ov\u00e9 k\u00e1ble a prepojovacie k\u00e1ble s 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdmi konektormi MPO.<\/p>\n<p>Na spr\u00e1vne prepojenie rozhran\u00ed CXP\/CFP\/CPAK spolo\u010dnos\u0165 Sylex predstavila prepojovac\u00ed k\u00e1bel&nbsp;<b>typu X<\/b>&nbsp;, v r\u00e1mci ktor\u00e9ho je horn\u00fd rad na bl\u00edzkom konci prepojen\u00fd so spodn\u00fdm radom na vzdialenom konci (poz\u00edcia 1 je prepojen\u00e1 s poz\u00edciou 13, poz\u00edcia 12 s poz\u00edciou 24).<\/p>\n<p>Nov\u00e1 defin\u00edcia normy TIA 568.3-D pre k\u00e1ble a prepojovacie k\u00e1ble s 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdmi konektormi MPO je podrobne zn\u00e1zornen\u00e1 na obr\u00e1zkoch 3, 4 a 5. Ako vid\u00edte,&nbsp;<b>Typ A:2-2<\/b>&nbsp;sa nehod\u00ed pre Sylex&nbsp;<b>Typ A<\/b>, ale pre Sylex&nbsp;<b>Typ X.<\/b> Sylex&nbsp;<b>Typ A<\/b>&nbsp;pre 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00e9 polia MPO a prepojovacie k\u00e1ble nie je zahrnut\u00fd ani v norme TIA 568.3-D.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1187 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Image-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"802\" height=\"543\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1189 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Image-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"803\" height=\"541\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1191 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Image-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"803\" height=\"541\"><\/p>\n<p>Na z\u00e1ver m\u00f4\u017eeme poveda\u0165, \u017ee aby sa predi\u0161lo probl\u00e9mom s pripojen\u00edm v\u00fdrobkov zalo\u017een\u00fdch na 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00fdch konektoroch MPO, spolo\u010dnosti by sa mali bu\u010f riadi\u0165 normou TIA 568.3-D, alebo jasne definova\u0165 sch\u00e9mu zapojenia na v\u00fdkrese. Met\u00f3dy polariz\u00e1cie Sylex pre 12- alebo 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00e9 zostavy MTP\u00ae n\u00e1jdete na&nbsp;<a class=\"external-link-new-window\" title=\"Otvor\u00ed extern\u00e9 prepojenie v novom okne\" href=\"\/?page_id=1146\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/documents\/technical-support-documents.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Met\u00f3dy pripojenia vs. protokoly<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Norma TIA 568.3-D definuje okrem r\u00f4znych typov prepojovac\u00edch k\u00e1blov aj r\u00f4zne met\u00f3dy pripojenia (polariz\u00e1cie), ktor\u00e9 ukazuj\u00fa kombin\u00e1ciu prepojovac\u00edch k\u00e1blov, k\u00e1blov a adapt\u00e9rov na vytvorenie spojenia medzi vysiela\u010dmi. Ozna\u010denie sp\u00f4sobov pripojenia sa riadi rovnak\u00fdm pr\u00edstupom ako v pr\u00edpade typov \u0161n\u00far: Na prv\u00fd poh\u013ead to vyzer\u00e1 jasne, ale v pr\u00edpade, \u017ee sa vyber\u00fa 24-vl\u00e1knov\u00e9 konektory MPO, je tu skryt\u00fd potenci\u00e1lny probl\u00e9m.<\/p>\n<p>Hlavn\u00fdm probl\u00e9mom je pochopi\u0165, ktor\u00e9 kan\u00e1ly Tx a Rx v r\u00e1mci vysiela\u010dov by mali by\u0165 prepojen\u00e9. Ako je zn\u00e1zornen\u00e9 na obr\u00e1zku 6, typick\u00fd 24F transceiver m\u00e1 v\u0161etky Rx kan\u00e1ly v hornom riadku a v\u0161etky Tx kan\u00e1ly v dolnom riadku.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1193 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Image-6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"239\"><\/p>\n<p>\u010c\u00edslovanie kan\u00e1lov je sprava do\u013eava. To sa riadi pravidlom \u010d\u00edslovania konektora MPO\/MTP. Pri poh\u013eade na predn\u00fa stranu konektora MPO s k\u013e\u00fa\u010dom hore je poz\u00edcia TOP LEFT ozna\u010den\u00e1 ako \u010d. 1. (pozri obr\u00e1zok 1) Po oto\u010den\u00ed prednej strany konektora smerom k adapt\u00e9ru v transceiveri sa poz\u00edcia \u010d. 1 konektora zhoduje s poz\u00edciou (vl\u00e1kna) \u010d. 1 transceivera.<\/p>\n<p>Prepojenie vysiela\u010dov sa riadi z\u00e1kladn\u00fdm princ\u00edpom: prepoji\u0165 kan\u00e1l Tx0 na bl\u00edzkom konci s kan\u00e1lom Rx0 na vzdialenom konci. Pr\u00edklad dvojbodov\u00e9ho pripojenia pre vysiela\u010de 24F je na obr\u00e1zku 7, kde je Tx0 &#8211; poz\u00edcia \u010d. 13 na bl\u00edzkom konci pripojen\u00e1 k Rx0 &#8211; poz\u00edcii \u010d. 1 na vzdialenom konci pomocou patch k\u00e1bla typu A:2-2.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1195 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Image-7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"805\" height=\"474\"><\/p>\n<p>V pr\u00edlohe C normy TIA 568.3-D je v\u0161ak definovan\u00e1<b>met\u00f3da pripojenia<\/b>&nbsp;<b>&#8222;&#8220;A&#8220;&#8220;, ktor\u00e1 sp\u00e1ja<\/b>&nbsp;dve r\u00f4zne poz\u00edcie\/porty vl\u00e1kien: Tx0 &#8211; poz\u00edcia 13 na bl\u00edzkom konci s Rx11 &#8211; poz\u00edcia 12 na vzdialenom konci.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1197 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Image-8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"805\" height=\"493\"><\/p>\n<p>Pre porovnanie:<\/p>\n<p>Pripojenie definovan\u00e9 pod\u013ea normy TIA:  &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Tx0 -&gt; Rx11<\/p>\n<p>Pripojenie zalo\u017een\u00e9 na z\u00e1kladnom princ\u00edpe: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Tx0 -&gt; Rx0<\/p>\n<p>Pou\u017eitie \u010fal\u0161\u00edch dvoch met\u00f3d pripojenia op\u00edsan\u00fdch v TIA 568.3-D, met\u00f3dy pripojenia B a C, bude ma\u0165 za n\u00e1sledok rovnak\u00fa situ\u00e1ciu &#8211; Tx0 na poz\u00edcii 13 na bl\u00edzkom konci je prepojen\u00fd s Rx11 na poz\u00edcii 12 na vzdialenom konci.<\/p>\n<p><b>Tento rozdiel m\u00f4\u017ee vies\u0165 k v\u00e1\u017enym probl\u00e9mom pri definovan\u00ed k\u00e1blov a prepojovac\u00edch k\u00e1blov, ktor\u00e9 sa maj\u00fa pou\u017ei\u0165 v pl\u00e1novanej in\u0161tal\u00e1cii, preto\u017ee protokoly ETHERNET a INFINIBAND funguj\u00fa odli\u0161ne, pokia\u013e ide o smerovanie sign\u00e1lu.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>V pr\u00edpade protokolu Ethernet m\u00e1 mapovanie sign\u00e1lu ur\u010dit\u00fa inteligenciu, ktor\u00e1 zabezpe\u010duje, \u017ee sign\u00e1l vysielan\u00fd z bl\u00edzkeho konca bude spr\u00e1vne prijat\u00fd na vzdialenom konci. V praxi sta\u010d\u00ed nastavi\u0165 iba kr\u00ed\u017eov\u00e9 spojenie medzi horn\u00fdm (Rx) a doln\u00fdm (Tx) radom vysiela\u010dov. Ke\u010f sa sign\u00e1l fyzicky prepne z TOP na BOTTOM a naopak, inteligencia spojenia prevezme spr\u00e1vne smerovanie z Tx0 na Rx0.<\/p>\n<p>Na druhej strane, protokol INFINIBAND tak\u00fato inteligenciu nem\u00e1 a mapovanie sa mus\u00ed vykon\u00e1va\u0165 priamo na \u00farovni hardv\u00e9ru. The difference is only in the usage within an optical channel. An array cable is used as a backbone cable \u2013 used for connection between racks, patch panels and MPO-LC modules. An array patch cord type is used to start or end an optical patch from and to the transceivers. A combination of them is used to connect different types of transceivers, where each of them has a specific design and position of Tx and Rx channels. The last three rows describe designations where MPO connectors with 24-fibres are used on both ends of the array cables or patch cords. While in the case of 12F based systems (used for 10G applications) , there is a clear link between the well-known connectivity methods A, B, C and new designations Type-A: 1-1, Type-B: 1-1 and Type-C: 1-1, it starts to get more complicated when MPO 24-fibre connectors are used. In this white paper we will focus further on arrays and patch cords with MPO 24-fibre connectors on both ends.<\/p>\n<p><b>Nomenclature mess<\/b><\/p>\n<p>MPO connectors with 24 fibres have been known and used for many years, but as mentioned previously, due to the lack of a standard describing types of cables and connectivity methods, companies invented their own standards. They used different names like Straight, Cross, Vertically crossed and Horizontally straight, or they just simply used designations like Type A, B, C, Z, Y, X, etc\u2026 None of these names or designations was clear enough for customers and a great deal of confusion was created.<\/p>\n<p>Before the release of the TIA 568.3-D standard, Sylex used the connection logic from 12-fibre MPO connectors and applied it to 24-fibre MPO connectors. As an example, let\u2019s take the 12F Type A patch cord: a fibre from position ONE on the near end is connected to position ONE on the far end. Sylex also applied this logic to MPO 24-fibres, so a fibre from position ONE on the near end (top row) was connected to position ONE on the far end (top row); all other fibres were connected in the same way \u2013 up to the position 24 fibre on the near end (bottom row), which was connected to position 24 on the far end (bottom row). Sylex named this connection\u00a0<b>Type A<\/b>\u00a0for array cables and patch cords with 24-fibre MPO connectors.<\/p>\n<p>To properly interconnect the CXP\/CFP\/CPAK interfaces, Sylex introduced the\u00a0<b>Type X<\/b>\u00a0patch cord, within which the top row on the near end is connected to the bottom row on the far end (position 1 is connected to position 13, position 12 to position 24).<\/p>\n<p>The new TIA 568.3-D standard definition for array cables and patch cords with MPO 24-fibre connectors is shown in detail in Figures 3, 4 and 5. As you can see,\u00a0<b>Type-A:2-2<\/b>\u00a0does not fit to Sylex\u00a0<b>Type A<\/b>, but to Sylex\u00a0<b>Type X<\/b>. Sylex polarity methods, either for 12- or 24-fibre MTP\u00ae assemblies, can be found at\u00a0<a class=\"external-link-new-window\" title=\"Opens external link in new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oldweb.sylex.sk\/documents-and-certificates\/technical-support-documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.sylex.sk\/documents\/technical-support-documents.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Connectivity methods vs. protocols<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Besides different array and patch cord cable types, the TIA 568.3-D standard also defines the different connectivity methods (polarities), which show a combination of array patch cords, array cables and adapters to create a connection between transceivers. The designation of the connectivity methods follows the same approach as in the case of types of array cords: A, B and C. At first sight it looks clear, but there is hidden a potential problem in case MPO 24-fibre connectors are chosen.<\/p>\n<p>The main problem is in understanding which Tx and Rx channels within the transceivers should be interconnected. As shown in Figure 6, the typical 24F transceiver has all the Rx channels in the TOP row and all the Tx channels in the BOTTOM one.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2d40586 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2d40586\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The numbering of the channels is from RIGHT to LEFT. This follows the numbering rule of the MPO \/ MTP connector. Looking at the front face of the MPO connector with its key up, the TOP LEFT position is marked as No.1. (see Figure 1) Once the connector\u2019s front face is turned towards the adapter in the transceiver, position No.1 of the connector matches the position (fibre) No.1 of the transceiver.<\/p>\n<p>The transceivers\u2019 interconnection follows a fundamental principle: to connect channel Tx0 on the near end to channel Rx0 on the far end. In practice it is sufficient to set up only a cross connection between the TOP (Rx) and BOTTOM (Tx) rows of the transceivers. Once the signal is physically switched from TOP to BOTTOM and vice versa, the link intelligence takes over the proper routing from Tx0 to Rx0.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the INFINIBAND protocol does not have this kind of intelligence and the mapping has to be done directly on the hardware level. It means a real physical connection should be created between Tx0 and Rx0.<\/p>\n<p>This fact implies the conclusion that in the case of Ethernet based systems, any of the TIA 568.3-D defined connectivity methods can be used, while for Infiniband Tx0 to Rx0, channels have to be physically connected \u2013 see Figure 7.<\/p>\n<p>Based on this observation, it is much safer to choose the connectivity method according Figure 7 as it is not known in every instance whether Ethernet or Infiniband is used in the real running service.<\/p>\n<p>On top of that, establishing a typical 2-point connection defined by TIA (Figure 8) requires the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>two pieces of Type-A:2-2 array cords<\/li>\n<li>one piece of Type-B:2-2 array cord<\/li>\n<li>two pieces of Type-A adapters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Establishing the same connection\u00a0<b>based on fundamental principle<\/b>\u00a0(physical connection from Tx0 to Rx0) requires:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>three pieces of Type-A:2-2 array cords<\/li>\n<li>two pieces of Type-A adapters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is obvious that the second option is more suitable from the inventory and planning point of view.<\/p>\n<p><b>Nuts and bolts<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always contact the harness supplier and agree on:\n<ul>\n<li>the terminology used for array cables<\/li>\n<li>the terminology used for the adapters<\/li>\n<li>the terminology of wiring and connectivity methods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Have in mind the complete fibre path from the transmitter to the receiver:\n<ul>\n<li>patch cables<\/li>\n<li>PnP modules and their inside connectivity<\/li>\n<li>array patch cords and array cables<\/li>\n<li>fanout \/ hydra products<\/li>\n<li>adapters \u2013 Key Up \/ Key Down or Key Up \/ Key Up<\/li>\n<li>MPO connector genders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of difference in multimode and singlemode connectivity.
